8-Bit Ice Cream: Tricks And Treats.

8-Bit Ice Cream continues its side-scrolling assault on club-going ears switching platform this time from underground venue Basement to Teesside University Student Union club The Hub.
Returning October 20th for Halloween special Tricks And Treats the over 18′s party plays host to guests DJ Dark Angel and Dj Evil Eye Bri (Contagion) providing the rock, metal, pop punk and industrial side of the evenings entertainment.
From 11pm to midnight live legend of chip music gwEm, celebrating his 10th year on the scene will be playing an Atari rap rave set. Closing up proceedings from midnight onwards LastKnight will provide a set combining rock, chiptunes, drum and bass, game remixes and geek party anthems. Along with live visuals and give-aways throughout the evening 8-bit Ice Creams Treats and Tricks adds a slightly different flavour to the usual Halloween party. Priced at £4 entry all that remains to be said is “be there and be square”!

8-Bit Icecream Freshers Ball. October 6th.

Whether you’re the fresh-meat on the academic platter or a self confessed nerd you could do worse than to start your term at the 8-Bit IceCream Freshers Ball. The electro alternative night makes its long awaited return having toured the anime convention circuit with in house DJ Last-Knight and his own particular blend of chip tunes, dubstep, D’n'B, anime themes, remixes and more. The freshers ball features support from Rock and EBM DJ Dark Angel and a set from home grown Middlesbrough based live chiptunes artist, CriticalStrike.
As usual, 8-bit Ice Cream also promises live visuals, give aways and above all a space for the geeky to get freaky.

The 8-Bit Ice Cream Freshers Ball takes place 9pm till late, Thursday October 6th 2011 in Basement, Middlesbrough and costs £4 on entry.
