Two months on and relief efforts are still underway in the wake of March 11 earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan. Beginning his efforts on the day of the disaster, Aaron Russel of Impurfekt spearheaded work on a charitable compilation entitled ‘Music For The Rising Sun’ with 100% of profits going to fund Red Cross efforts in Japan.

A new youth development is underway at a Stockton Community Centre with plans to establish a mobile skate park and other facilities. A meeting is being held this Friday at Grangefield Community Centre to discuss the plans and see just what the site offers.

While many around the world are recording and releasing benefit albums to aid the relief efforts in Japan in the wake of the devastation caused by the earthquakes and tsunamis that have rocked their shores almost constantly since 10 March, German act Blind Passenger have taken the bold move to record the song Fukushima Slot Machine in aid of Ausgestrahlt e.V to support their fight for a future without nuclear power plants.
