Krampus.
Hailing from Udine, Italy the fast rising Modern Folk Metal band Krampus can safely be regarded as the most promising star in their genre, all the while challenging and expanding the boundaries of Folk Metal as we know it. With no less than 8 band members and an extensive use of traditional folk instruments, Krampus stand tall among the elite acts in their genre, devoting themselves to bringing together old and new in their sound. Earning plenty of plaudits from their contemporaries including genre peers Eluvetie‘s drummer Merlin Sutter, the band are being openly praised as ”The best Folk Metal newcomer there is with a hell of a strong album! The band are currently offering fans the chance to stream the mindblowing single ‘Kronos´ Heritage’ on Soundcloud. The first song to be taken from their debut album, ‘Survival of the Fittest’ due for release on 24th August via NoiseArt Records, Frontman Filippo Gianotti described the track commenting “This song is for tomorrow’s mankind. It’s a warning to all of us, living without a care for what we’ll leave to our children. What will we tell them after we destroyed their world?”
Krampus are confirmed to play as part of the Heidenfest tour throughout Europe in October/November alongside Wintersun, Korpiklaani, Varg and Trollfest.
