System:FX’s new EP Overdrive barrels away with its pacey, bass driven opener establishing a pretty consistent level of energy for the whole release. While ‘Overdrive’ is splendidly mixed and surely bound to be a club hit it can’t help but feel slightly sample heavy at times. ‘Destroyer’ has the same sense of bouncy bleepy club friendly keys with the sinister urgency of many a modern EBM track.

What makes the best things in life better? Adding another dimension, obviously. Fact: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best thing since sliced bread – heck, it’s better than sliced bread. However, this game came out in 1998 and has had more than its share of reviews, criticisms, theories, and even re-evaluations. Therefore, there shall be no story, no complaining about Navi, no talk of vast emptiness, and no time-line discussed in this review.

Shortly after the release of their brand new video single “To The Stage”, Yorkshire Metalcore quintet Asking Alexandria have announced a series of UK dates for January 2012. ‘To The Stage’ is the third single from the album ‘Reckless And Relentless’ and sees a last minute rush to the stage take a suitably reckless turn. The January dates sees the boys back on home soil after a string of international dates.

Jäger 90 get set to drop EBM bombs with the release of their third full length album. As hand made as EBM can be, crafted with the aid of neither a computer nor a safety net, the aptly titled ‘Fleisch Macht Böse’ wraps up social critism, daily madness, fetish, love and interpersonal affairs in lashings of electro beats and mercilessly thumping sequencers in the best DAF tradition.
