As if being the super couple of counter culture wasn’t enough for literary god Neil Gaiman and serial piano abuser Amanda Palmer a recent 12 hour project saw the two team up with Ben Folds and Damian Kulash to thrash out the 6 track creative commons release Nighty Night.

Those folks behind Donington’s Download rock festival are asking for your creative input in return for the chance to win two free tickets and guest passes to this June’s event. Download Festival is asking fans to submit their designs for an official bumper sticker, which will go on sale in the Download web store and donate a portion of the proceeds to Cancer Research UK.

The Moon Nazis behind the upcoming sci-fi comedy invasion movie Iron Sky are currently making a grab for €300,000 needed for filming using ‘krautfunding’.
The filmmakers are running a project called ‘The Race For 300k’ where the team aim to raise 300,000 euro in just 60 days using a number of crowd funding sites.

Dubbed too explicit for youtube a clean edit of Angelspit’s new music video Toxic Girl(taken from their Carbon Beauty EP) has been posted on the video network. With static distortion and shades of mock AI sci-fi icon Max Headroom in the form of Zoog’s exaggerated infomercial gestures throughout the video. Toxic Girl is a collaboration with video director/producer Tamas Mesmer.

KOMMAND+KONTROL launch a Full Frontal Assault on your ears with this 5 track EP. This dark elektro project has been born from the collaboration of Angus Hobbs (DJ Virus) & David Chapman (Terminal). Two gentlemen heavily involved in the industrial/alternative scene DJing (Slimelight, Godlike, Synthetic Culture, Betty Ford Clinic, Club Robot) and most recently touring with the likes of Nachtmahr in the guise of Kommand+Kontrol.

While many around the world are recording and releasing benefit albums to aid the relief efforts in Japan in the wake of the devastation caused by the earthquakes and tsunamis that have rocked their shores almost constantly since 10 March, German act Blind Passenger have taken the bold move to record the song Fukushima Slot Machine in aid of Ausgestrahlt e.V to support their fight for a future without nuclear power plants.
