Money Maker encapsulates the sound of Machine Rox in its short but sweet 5 track format. The throaty mix of samples and synth is a unique take on the stompier arena of industrial. Machine Rox is the project of Richard Kaltenhausen, a member of industrial band Global Noise Attack (GNA). With GNA Richard K. was guitarist and programmer; dual roles which strike the tone for the Machine Rox sound which is more Durm und strang rather than drum and bass.
The title-track Moneymaker is the key to the ep with its catchy chant, and songs like cynical radio and planet sexy following along in a similar vein. God of Rock takes a more experimental tack and acts as a counterpart to the rest of the EP blending its samples with vocals.
Money maker was recently voted number 5 in the Future Music Magazine readers chart and has been well recieved via reverbnations electronic chart.
Machine Rox are available to sample via their myspace, and are available on CD and for download on amazon, napster, rhapsody, itunes and emusic
