What has been rumoured for years hand has surfaced in comic book, action figure, computergame and Alternate Realite Webgame (as seen at http://www.flynnlives.com/) has finally come to fruition. The release of the first teaser trailer for the newly renamed TRON LEGACY has sparked debate on the plot as well as showcasing the latests set of special effects.
TRON 2 has gone High Def ladies and gentlemen. The clip is not strictly a trailer, more a showreel and FX test, with the original world of Tron, with the grid, suits and frisbees all still instantly recognizable.
The trailer reinterprets the iconic light cycle scenes of the the 80′s original but ends on a far more sinister note.
A couple of glimpses of The Big Lebowski himself, el Duderino, Jeff Bridges, both at his true age and a de-aged version, in akin to the effects used on the Curious case of Benjamin Button comes across as wholly convincing, at least in brief. Curiously this does pose the question, Why are there two of him?
All The Young Dudes
Its not just a game anymore. This looks to be the beginnings of a spectacularly dark cyberpunk epic from disney who are surely hooked after the latter chapters of the Pirates franchise.
