An 11th hour message from the recently reformed Teesside band, who in the past have been a regular fixture at the Festival, particularly in the days when it featured masses of rock and metal, has announced the sudden cancelation of what was to be the bands Friday performance at Stockton Fringe Festival. (4.30pm 31st July).  In an apologetic message, band member Phil Saunders explained that the cancelation was due to the poor health of bandmate Jay

“Jay is ill, and has been for over a month. Jay really really wanted to play the show… and as much as the rest of us are gutted, we don’t want to kill him off (just yet!) so we’re all behind his decision to not play”.

Any well-wishers who want to say hello and get well soon to Jay, he’s on facebook “Jason Robson” or visit the “exit by name” fanpage and he’s tagged in most photos.

The rest of the band has stated that they will be down and around the fringe for a beer then over to Middlesbrough’s Friday night Alternative club Sumo for a dance.

This cancelation marks what was the only ‘MOSH’ band effectively leaving little to no bands of alternative interest on the bill, a trend which has become more prominent in recent years. Hopefully the band will be back to play the festival in the future.
