No, it’s not the Ministry album, far from it. This is the great vent. My Two Minutes Hate. My Resistance against the world. Because let’s face it. The world sucks. It’s full of morons and, unfortunately, these morons all seem to know how it works better than me. Because these morons are all in cahoots you see, plotting and scheming to make folks like me and you (i presume you’re reading this because you are a fan of the site which makes you, and please don’t take offense, a societal reject) never ever get what we want from life.
Religion only offers more questions to add to this mess, because that doesn’t explain a (pun alert) god damn thing! It merely puts a great big bearded bully in charge of it all, who has the sweetest deal because you aren’t supposed to question the fact that you are indeed wading through a rather annoying puddle of excrement, philosophically at least, day in and day out while being charged for it from everyone from the Government to the ice cream man.
Ok, ok. Bleak thoughts there. And maybe I should take a second to look at the good things that happen in life, puppies and kisses with saliva, cries at a good film, calmness, productivity and…..wait, that’s off an OK Computer song isn’t it? Anyways yes I know that my life is nowhere near as bad as those in real danger. Homeless, terminally ill people, yes. I get it. And I am thankful. I really am. Life, right now is good in comparison to all that stuff. Yet there is nothing I can do about those situations until faced with the option to. I do occasionally give money to homeless people in the hope that they will spend it on something that aids their existence in some way, all people do. That gives us a little bit of satisfaction because we feel like we did something good to someone who REALLY needs it. A little bit of love given away at random. Because, as Morrissey says “I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does.” I guess this rant is really about wanting to make life more…..interesting for one another. When was the last time something really truly happened that made your life instantly fantastic, even for one brief moment? A stranger saying something to you that you actually took away and thought about? A random hug maybe? A smile off a beautiful girl/boy whatever floats your boat? Im sure all people with pulses and a National Security number will agree that all these things feel good. So why do we not do them on a regular basis? Good idea on paper but then again so was Communism. Epic fail in practice. Perhaps its the shake up from our daily routine of early mornings, traffic and work that feels good. Either way it’s something we should all consider. But then again people are morons, and I don’t wanna get into a fistfight for smiling at a stranger. But at least it might make the day more interesting……..
Well if you’ve read this far you deserve a treat.
That’s my contribution for today. Kinda like that film Pay It Forward, but less shit.
