One of Newcastle’s cluster of goth clubs holds a special gig this month with the performance of an act familiar to internet users everywhere..

The name 404 Error took a bit of a double take for me. I thought the code had simply messed up when it was listed, but apparently  they are the brain child of front man Kev36663, editor of TWF Magazine, (dis)organiser of Floorshow events, DJ at The Charnel House club night and radio DJ with Reach on Air.
The Prolific gentleman describes the act as electro, gothic german pop. Venue wise, The Globe sits nestled between the Metro Radio Arena and Newcastle Collage. Along with the gig Dj’s Rivethead, Unbeliver, Drill, Richy McSinister, and The Devine Aurora will be providing your monthly fix of Goth, Industrial, EBM, Alternative 80′s, Synthpop, Noise, Darkwave, Coldwave, New Wave, No Wave, Punk, Post Punk, etc. The night is free as always and is proud to be hosted at a Polish Bar which serves Warka Strong among many other premium imported Polish Beers and Spirits.

Switching rivers from Tyne to Tees, back in Middlesbrough there are a trio of bands performing at Uncle Alberts.

Uncle alberts is a plush little venue with wide screen televisions adding a little warm glow to the kitsch decor. Cheap drinks and free access to a Nintendo console don’t go amiss either.

As for the line up?

Uncle Alberts Presents; SSS, Lifeless + Drunk In Hell

SSS, Lifeless and Drunk In Hell.

Liverpudlians, SSS,  who are also recent signings to Earache Records are being touted as figureheads of the the modern UK Thrash movement.

The bill is rounded off with the presence of Boro locals Lifeless and Drunk in Hell ensuring a night of  rock based entertainment for all.

There’s also the full gamut of friday events as listed on our clubs page too, Including Sumo, opposite Uncle Alberts.

Setting our sights on saturday Blind Before Dawn descend upon the Clarendon Hotel, Redcar for a special night of the Afterlife goth night.

10th-jan-after life club -blind before dawn.

10th-january-reptileMoving swiftly on to a less instrumental event, monthly London Night Reptile has company this saturday.

A DJ by the name of Presley.  This man is known for work he has done with the electro luminary, Gary Numan. Who am I to argue?

Other than that? Well, theres the whole sordid mess of 2009′s big bad tours with acts like We Are The Ocean starting tours with well over 20 dates and where do we have it listed? Here baby!

Personally I’m more stoked about the Kerrang Relentless tour, bringing the crude rude, rock gods MSI to English soil again.

You can expect Necromag to keep its ears open for anything alternative in the north and indeed, across the country.

See  you next week.
