The Cure have been feature on Necromag before concerning this album with the unusual tactic of monthly singles being released in the run up to the big day when the new disc hits, but now a solid date has been announced.
The Cure’s new studio album, their 13th, is slated for release on 13th October.
The Cure have been releasing singles over the past 4 months, drip feeding us new material but now the “Hypnagogic States EP” looms.
It consists of remixes of these singles (”The Only One”, “Freakshow”, “Sleep When I’m Dead”, “The Perfect Boy” and “Exploding Head Syndrome”) by some quite well known rock luminaries, such as Jade Puget (AFI) and also MCR man Gerard Way. The Cure seem set to keep this momentum of releases up till the moment of the new release so expect much more from the fairy goth father himself
