Roll up roll up necro kiddies..
Coming up this wednesday we have a free gig in Stockton as part of the Riverside Festival:
Committed To The Asylum: 21 reasons + Achilla
Asylum bring you another night of entertainment for those Committed individuals who turn up on time. With Doors at 7pm, this show is sure to fill up fast.
21 Reasons bring their northern metal fare to this Stockton stage followed by Achilla, Fronted by Guinness record holding songstress Martamaria. She is so famed because of her astonishing vocal range. Come See for yourself!
This gig is indeed free, Is all ages, and has a full bar still in operation (but under strict supervision guys!)
This blasts the doors open for the rest of the festival, taking place in a variety of locations, with street theatre, firework displays and 3 days of music across 2 stages with an added comedy tent.
Though sadly a majority of this is indie fare, as per usual. One act that has piqued our interest; primarily due to her previous appearances on Current.tv is solo act Theoretical Girl (though touring and performing with backing band the Equations). She may be seen on Friday 1st August at 6:15pm.
Back tracking a little, We have Drug Dealer Cheer Leader
The Kerrang approved act are returning to the Falchion again this Thursday (31st) supported by acts such as Peep show and possibly King Nothing.
These rockers are described as “Glam punk Pop ‘n’ roll with easy hooks” and went down well on their last outing to Stockton. As part of a mammoth UK tour this gig sounds like it’ll be quite heavy.
This Saturday we also see the return of Death Emiting Diode. This local robo-industrial troupe who shook the Falchion on their debut performance and stand the chance of melting more than their fare share of faces in this sophomore appearance. Originally billed as part of the next Nunnery of Noise event all that is currently certain is that thes guys are still playing.
Much more to come but as the weekend comes early this week, we’re seriously going to have to pick up the ball on this one
