All Naked, All The Time….

The Beginning Of Orwellian Britain. And How Mr Hicks Was Right All Along.

Holy Shit! Better start Vetting your DVD collection, the thought police have struck once again with the red-hot iron of unreason. Im talking about the new “Extreme Pornography Law.” This law will make the following illegal to posess:

and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real.

The term covers staged acts, and applies whether or not the participants consent. Classified works are exempt, but an extract from a classified work, if the image was extracted for the purpose of sexual arousal, would not be exempt. The bill give examples of acts which would be covered: depictions of hanging, suffocation, or sexual assault involving a threat with a weapon; the insertion of sharp objects into or the mutilation of breasts or genitals. {taken from Wikipedia}

This law was brought in by pressure groups in response to the murder of a young female teacher in 2003, strangled to death by a man who frequently went on extreme pornographic websites and acted out his own atrocious murder.

So all you BDSM fetishists out there will now be happy to know that due to the unbelievably broad scope of this act, you are all potential criminals. Cock and Ball Torture, Breath Play, Blood Play, Heavy Bondage, Auto Erotic asphyxiation and spanking will all be considered criminal, as well as dozens of other acts. Because of the use of the words “appears to”, all types of fetish that blur the lines between sex and death may now be considered obcsene. How ridiculous. Material is considered extreme pornography only if the main purpose of creating it was to produce sexual arousal. Im sorry, but to quote the last great bastion of free speech this world has know, the late great Bill Hicks, “ANY FUCKING THING CAN CAUSE SEXUAL THOUGHTS! YOU COULD BE RIDING ON A BUS, IT’S ROCKING NICELY AND YOUR PANTS ARE A LITTLE TOO TIGHT! “HOLY SHIT! I GOT A FUCKING WOODY!“” I got a massive hard on in GoldenEye when Onnatopp crushes that fat dude with her thighs whilst fucking him. So you gonna take my Bond DVD’s away? How sexy are hot vampire girls? They are apparently dead, and obviously designed to cause sexual thoughts. Bizzare magazine often has pictures sent in by viewers dressed up in corpse paint or murdered. No more buddy. ILLEGAL! The bill has deliberately been wrote so vaguely for the authorities to make you question yourself and feel bad for liking kinky porn or anything they see as “depraved”. Interestingly enough, violence in films that have a multi million pound budget are ok, but ones in fake low budget pornos (no, it doesnt matter if its fake as long as it looooooooks real) with naked actresses are out of the question. That surely cant have anything to do with the money violence in film brings can it? Surely not…..

What fascinates me is the government’s insistence that this law will actually change anything. What goes on in the bedroom between two (or why not more!) people is of no concern to the police, the government or pressure groups who have nothing better to do than be offended by things they don’t even want to look at.

Although necrophilia and bestiality are not entirely my cup of tea, in my opinion labeling these acts in the bill serves only to make it look like the people who consensually indulge in heavy bondage BDSM practices are the same types of people who fuck horses and chickens. This is not only ill-conceived and idiotic, but insulting as well. 99% of people who indulge in BDSM are respectful, consenting adults. These people respect the lines between pleasure and pain, and make up millions of the people in Britain today. These new laws would mean that all BDSM porn, and a lot of sexual images on the internet that are made by consenting people FOR consenting people, could put you in jail and on the sex offenders register.

The guy who killed the teacher was not a fetishist, he was a murderer. And if violent porn causes people to go psycho and kill, then where are they all? This is the only case I have ever heard of in this country. To quote a fellow outragee “do you ban alcohol if a few people become alcoholics?”

Violent and abusive material that is performed without consent on all parties is wrong and should be, as it currently is, highly illegal. I think everyone agrees with that. But this bill will not serve at all to help those innocent victims trapped in the sex-trafficking or child pornography world. It will only serve to censor once again what people are allowed to see, and because of the vagueness and lack of clarity of which materials will now be made illegal, make innocent people into potential criminals for simply enjoying “a bit of rough sex” To quote Jack Straw;

” The criminal law is drafted with great care, but sometimes its specific wording can trap victims and sentencers alike into facing unintended and unacceptable consequences. “
