Necromag seems to have been a tad vacant over the past few days. rest assured its merely because we’re placing the ground work to expand. One of the things we hope to have up and thriving soon is the Necromag MyspaceAs a bit of a recap, coming up this weekend is the epic all dayer Robstock(details are located here on the event calendar). Or rather Heaven and Hell ’08. a Follow up event to the first Robbstock which occured in ’07. The event will feature roughly 30 bands, Including Deaths Head Moth, and we hope to have the highlights of the day reviewed and up here soon after our melted faces and brainchunks are scraped back off the floor from all the rockin’.
If theres anything you guys want to see on Necromag, or anything you’d like covering just give us a heads up.

One thing I’d like to draw attention to is that people really aught to hear some new music once in a while. Theres alot of people who complain aboiut hearing the same old shit or just plain shit when they’re out and about. The simple answer is do something about it people! Pull your finger outta your ass and either find some music or make it yourself. Theres plenty of people out there. You can’t listen to Combichrist all the time, no matter how awesome they are.

Par Example:

There are bands that are quite awesome but nobody else seems to have heard of locally. The dumb thing is some of them are the forefathers of what you listen to now, like Skinny Puppy for instance. Snarl along songs about vivisection, theatrical blood soaked stage shows, been touring since the eighties. this guy used to mutilate himself on stage to prove a point and all while Nine Inch Nails were still playing support slots for who? Puppy. Get it? These guys have had some very obvious influences on people; from Marilyn Manson more or less lifting the stilts from under Ogre’s arms to the plethora of plagurists who are still starting out in the scene to this day.
Worth a listen if industrial is your thing. Not to mention their recent album Mythmaker was stocked in HMV and thus was accessible by the masses, SHOCK! HORROR! SUSPENSE! STUDENT DISCOUNT! Ogre wasn’t as husky as usual on this effort but it was still worth a listen. Anyway.
Get out there dudes, Do something. Gig, Write, Play, Find something new.
Live and explore. Its the only way nature thrives.
